I promise these dogs this will be their last stop. I meant it and it will be. I was just hoping the stop wouldn't have lasted this long!!!!
Everybody here hopes everybody had a wonderful Thanksgivng!!

Jefferson Co Dog Park with The Fluffy Dogs

Saturday Charlie and my pack headed to the Jefferson County Dog Park in Johnson Creek to meet up with other Fluffy Dog Packs.  I counted 10 dogs in our combined pack and it just like being at a Fluffy Dog Parade. Well except when we stopped to play...or wait for Charlie. It was more like everybody waiting for me while I chased him down. He wasn't coming for Larry friday when he had him at the park either. I took alot of pics and have them posted on my side bar. Shelly took a bunch also if I don't have enough for you.

Facebook Katharine Fulmer Dowe: "Wis. Senate Approves Dog Breeder Regulations - wcco.com
Source: wcco.com
The state Senate has overwhelmingly approved a bill that would regulate dog breeders. The Senate approved the measure 32-0. The Assembly approved the bill 96-0 last month. Lee Sensenbrenner, a spokesman for Gov. Jim Doyle, says Doyle looks forward to signing the bill into law."

Charlie..What a wonderful dog

Charlie/Bristol, is an energetic young man who loves to play. He is not overly hyper and is quite mellow most of the time but must be exercised daily to keep him that way. Bristol knows the basic commands, sit, down, off, out. He goes to the dog park a lot with his foster family and we are working o n his recall although he never goes far.Just not quick enough for his fostermom whom sometimes is impatient.

This Dog is very loving and loves to cuddle. If he can’t cuddle with his humans he will go cuddle up with an available dog. Bristol is a great family dog that will bond with children and other dogs quickly. He is very smart and food motivated and I am sure will quickly pick up any command or trick you want to teach him. He deserves a loving home and will return that love with gusto. He has been a joy to have in our home. So fill out that application and come meet Charlie

Meet Charlie

note ears

Here is our new foster Charlie. Charlie's name on Petfinder is Bristol if you would like to take a look. Link is on sidebar. They were calling him Charlie when I went to pick him up and he seems to know it so we are sticking with that. Charlie got along with my dogs right off the bat. He doesn't annoy Lyla like the puppies do. He has been to the dog park the last two days and loves  to run. He seems to know basic commands and is very polite with my dogs. So far the only thing we need to work on is pulling on the leash and recall at the dog park. He comes back..eventually.. I am so proud of Kasey and Lyla. Kasey returns on a dime. Lyla a quarter. Lyla also had a recall problem but we fixed that and I am sure Charlie will be no different. He loves to come snuggle with me on the couch.  Good with dogs..Good with kids. Did I mention he was adorable?
Thanks for looking. I will post more when I know more about this sweet little boy.

Hurray for Max

Max went to his forever home in Waukesha with his new Mom Helen last night. Everybody here misses him. Kasey is still looking for him everytime he comes in from outside. I feel bad for him. But very happy for Max. It is so cool that both Max and his Flufffy Friend Sparkey found their forever homes on the same day... A wonderful day to be a Fluffy Dog!!!

Just when you think you have it figured out.

Now I have always thought that Max looked alot like my Flat Coat Retriever mix, Kasey did when he was a puppy. But there are soo many different breeds around and there really not many Flat Coat Retrievers around. So what are the chances of me getting a foster of that breed? But today I happened across this picture of Flat Coat Retriever puppies. They look alot like our Maxy... I wonder?

Can Anybody Help???

Am looking for a rescue to take a 12-1/2 year old lab that my vet has asked me to help. The family lost their home and the dog is there alone with food and a couch until Friday. She has only until Friday or they are forced to put her down. She is a well trained, spayed, up to date chocolate lab. Someone checks on her every day. I volunteer for BRATS (Badger Rescue Animal Transport Service) and could arrange transport if you know of any suggestions. Thank you again....Jodi

Max..Growing up

Max has come along way this week.  He is growing up both in size and attitude.  I think he has doubled his size in the last 2 weeks. He is going to be a big boy.
I have thought from the beginning that he had some kind of Spaniel in him.  Larry took the dogs to the dog park and there were alot of people there that agreed.
He is starting to get really vocal. Talks alot while he plays. Doesn't bark alot except when he is barking at my dogs to get them to play.  he sure loves to play..All in all he is a more well behaved and gentle than he was when he came...Don't get me wrong he is still a puppy..Still chasing his tail. Just learning his manners and commands. Very food motivated which is making it a breeze to train him. He learned sit so quick I was confused as to why he wasn't gettin lay down.  I changed the hand signal I was using and he did it the first try.. Amazing..
Max is available for adoption at Fluffy Dog Rescue..Please follow link to fill out an application. Sorry but Fluffy Dog cannot adopt out to families with children age 6 and under.

WOW...What a great puppy. His name is Max and he is visiting here until he can find a home of his own. He is only 14 weeks old, but learning in leaps and bounds. Max loves dogs and plays hard with my dogs, Kasey and Lyla. They are teaching him his boundries and I have noticed that he is not as rough in his play as he was the first few days. Way to go Kasey and Lyla. whoops...I was just about to say that he is almost potty trained and...yep....there he went.. I guess it will be a few more days.. Seriously he is almost there..
He got the sit command in a day and am now working on down and off..he is really smart so i am sure he with be a quick learner in anything you might want to teach him....I will get some links on here shortly for places you can get more info..In the meantime, if anybody is interesting in adopting Max please shoot me an email. Will post more this evening...
